Miguel Almiron: NUFC Hotspot Player Portal

Miguel Almiron Newcastle Profile NUFC Hotspot

Joining for a then club record fee of £24 million, Miguel Almiron arrived in Tyneside with heightened expectations.

Joining an attacking force with on-loan Salomon Rondon, and Ayoze Perez, the Paraguayan initially struggled for goals in black and white.

This prolonged goal drought did not decimate the reputation of the former Atlanta United player though, quickly becoming a fan favourite for his never say die attitude.

Miggy finally got his name on the scoresheet in our Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace, netting the winning goal as the roof lifted off St James’ Park.

As many fans anticipated, an influx of goals followed with Almiron ending the 2019/20 season as our top-scorer throughout all competitions.

Almiron’s Best NUFC Moments

Almiron Crystal Palace
Newcastle United 1-0 Crystal Palace

The fixture against Crystal Palace was Almiron’s 27th appearance for the club. It also marked his first goal for the club, and boy was it worth the wait. Arguably the moment of our 2019/20 season, St James’ Park was at full volume in the 83rd minute!

Wolves 1-1 Newcastle United

Miguel Almiron made it three goals in six games as a wounded Newcastle United side left the Midlands with a point. The Paraguayan looked lively throughout the 90 minutes and scored our 500th Premier League away goal.
